| Ikumi Yoshimatsu was crowned Miss International 2012 and the first Japanese woman to win the title. 1st runner up is Viivi Suominen of Finland and 2nd runner up is Madusha Mayadunne of Sri Lanka. Completing the the top 5 are Melody Mir of Dominican Republic and Nicole Huber of Paraguay, 3rd and 4th runners up respectively. The top 15 semi-finalists are Brazil, Colombia, Haiti, India, Mexico, Namibia, Philippines, United Kingdom, USA and Venezuela. Special awards are given to Mauritius - Miss Friendship, Japan - Miss Photogenic, Russia - Miss Talent, Honduras - Best National Costume, Myanmar - Miss Internet and Haiti - Miss JOICEF. The final event lasted for more than four hours.
