Manila most likely to host the Miss World pageant in 2014, in time for the scheduled completion of Pagcor City, a resort and entertainment hub currently in the works at the Manila Bay reclamation area in Pasay City. Indonesia had secured hosting rights for the Miss World 2013 and 2015 editions.

Cory Quirino and TV5 is very serious in securing the hosting rights for the Miss World 2014 pageant. Currently Julia Morley, Chairman of the Miss World Organization and the reigning Miss World, Wenxia Yu is in the country for a visit.
