| Former Miss Venezuela 2000 and Miss Universe 2001 finalist Eva Ekvall has passed away at the age 28 due to cancer yesterday, December 17th.
Ekvall, who was third runner-up at Miss Universe 2011, was diagnosed with cancer last year after giving birth to her only child. While battling on cancer, she wrote a book entitled "Out of Focus", telling all her life experiences.
May her soul rest in peace.
